Register with Windows to handle dchub://, adc:// and adcs:// URL links:

When set, DC++ will be the default handler for all dchub://, adc:// and adcs:// links. These links can appear on chats, web pages, internet shortcuts on your computer, or be typed and run as a program from the Start Menu. Disable this if you prefer for a different application to handle Direct Connect hub links. Disabling will make DC++ remove the keys from the Windows registry.

Note:
URL links are only used for Auto Linking or in Chat! URL links most never be added in Favorite or Quick Connect, because this can lead to connect duplication on hub/s... use it ONLY if your client support it.

For Example:

  Favorites & Quick Connect     share.dcworldwide.net:5000
  Auto Linking & Chat
  dchub://share.dcworldwide.net:5000

Manual Address Entry

If you know the address of a hub (either an IP address or a domain name) then this can be manually entered by going to File → Quick Connect. Type the address ex: share.dcworldwide.net:5000  and click OK to connect. If port is not typed client will use default 411 port.

NOTE: A lot of hubs use own port and not default 411 port. Sometimes it can happen that the Internet service provider blocks the defaults ports for P2P.

Magnet URI scheme

Magnet is a URI scheme that defines the format of magnet links, a de facto standard for identifying files (URN) by their content, via cryptographic hash value rather than by their location.

Although magnet links can be used in a number of contexts, they are particularly useful in peer-to-peer file sharing networks because they allow resources to be referred to without the need for a continuously available host, and can be generated by anyone who already has the file, without the need for a central authority to issue them. This makes them popular for use as "guaranteed" search terms within the file sharing community where anyone can distribute a magnet link to ensure that the resource retrieved by that link is the one intended, regardless of how it is retrieved.

Code:
magnet:?xt=urn:tree:tiger:AHPMK3EFOQRZXOIF5TIQ7JTI6EDR7RSGU42ASZI&xl=25520886&dn=ApexDC%2B%2B+1.6.5.exe
